Professor Satishchandra Ogale, Director of the Research Institute for Sustainable Energy (RISE), Kolkata, and Professor Emeritus at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, India, shares his insights on working with IOP Publishing as a member of the Progress in Energy (PRGE) editorial board and reflects on the collaborative environment that helps support cutting-edge energy research. 

What is it like to be an IOP Publishing editorial board member for PRGE? 

“IOP Publishing has been very progressive in their approach to publishing cutting edge research in emergent areas and in promoting such advanced research to their readership.  

My association with IOP Publishing’s energy journals, namely PRGE as an Associate Editor and JPhys Energy as a member of the Advisory Board, has been both very stimulating and enriching.  

The editorial teams are always very helpful and forthcoming in addressing and resolving any matters brought to their attention, while maintaining an efficient and approachable way of working. It is also a great pleasure interacting with fellow board members during the regular meetings organized by the editors.
