Plasma Research Express – a new journal from IOP Publishing

25 May 2018 by Simon Davies

IOP Publishing is introducing Plasma Research Express (PREX) as a new addition to its plasma physics portfolio.

Led by Editor-in-Chief Professor Hae June Lee (Pusan National University, Republic of Korea), PREX is a broad, multidisciplinary journal publishing new experimental and theoretical research covering all areas of fundamental, engineering, and applied plasma science at low and high temperatures.

Professor Lee said: “Plasma Research Express is aimed at all plasma scientists, in all parts of the world, and will build upon the world-leading reputation IOP Publishing already has in plasma physics. The journal’s multidisciplinary coverage will reflect the complete breadth of how plasma research today intersects with the physics, astrophysics, materials science, chemistry, biomedical and engineering communities.”

PREX aims to help researchers working in academia, government labs, and industry to reach the global plasmas community, and provide a journal dedicated to research extending across all aspects of this important multidisciplinary field.

The new journal is now open for submissions. In response to community demand, authors have the option of choosing between single or double-blind peer review when submitting to PREX. You can read more about the review options here.
