CLOCKSS press release:

The CLOCKSS Archive is pleased to announce that it has partnered with IOP Publishing (IOP) to preserve their ebooks in CLOCKSS’s geographically and geopolitically distributed network of redundant archive nodes, located at 12 major research libraries around the world.

IOP is committed to ensuring the preservation of its digital content for the long term and the partnership with CLOCKSS is part of the company’s strategy to provide certainty for customers.

CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, “By archiving with CLOCKSS, IOP has ensured that the scholarship in their publications will be available for a worldwide audience now and in the future in a manner that secures them for the long-term good of scholars.”

IOP’s Head of Content and Platform Management Graham McCann said, “Our new award winning ebooks programme, IOP ebooks, is already home to major works from some of the most distinguished authors working in the physical sciences today. Ensuring that these important works are available for all time is critical for the integrity of the scientific record. We are delighted to work with CLOCKSS to offer our customers this long term assurance.”
