The 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics has today been announced in Sweden. This year’s laureates are François Englert and Peter Higgs for ‘the theoretical discovery of a mechanism that contributes to our understanding of the origin of mass of subatomic particles, and which recently was confirmed through the discovery of the predicted fundamental particle, by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider’.
To celebrate their achievements, we have put together a collection containing articles authored by Englert and Higgs as well as a small representative selection of those concerning the Higgs boson and mechanism. These articles are now free to read until the end of 2013.
