Science news and magazines

We have many years of experience in launching and developing science news sites for niche and broad research areas. Our flagship news outlet, Physics World, combines a deep understanding of the physics community with award-winning journalism. For our partners, we have used this experience to develop sites such as – the hub for the international high-energy physics community, and AAS Nova – a dedicated astrophysics news resource.

As the world’s leading physics magazine, Physics World is a popular membership benefit of the Institute of Physics. We have worked with key partners to make the magazine available to members of other learned societies, with both digital and print options available. Physics World has also partnered with organisations around the world to produce editorially driven tailored publications, that deliver value through an independent tone of voice. Some of these organisations include the Brazilian Physical Society, GIANT Innovation Campus and The University of Sheffield.

Case study – APS Careers 2020

Physics World partnered with the American Physical Society (APS) to develop ‘APS Careers 2020‘, an important resource to help people with a background in physics and related subjects make informed career decisions. We’ve filled the guide with useful tips and practical advice from experts on where to look for a job, how to write a resumé or perform well in interviews. An extensive list of employer profiles promotes workplace opportunities and helps decide if an organisation might be the right fit.

Case study–AAS Nova

AAS Nova, developed for the American Astronomical Society (AAS), publishes highlights on papers from the AAS journals, as well as hosting guest posts from the popular astrobites blog. In 2016, it won Best Health/Education News Site at the Drum Media Awards.

The site supports the AAS journals and conferences, and also provides a way for astrophysics and astronomy research to be discovered in an accessible, engaging format.
