Peer Review Week 2023:  innovations in peer review at IOP Publishing

25 Sep 2023 by Faye Holst IOP Publishing celebrates Peer Review Week 2023 IOP Publishing celebrates Peer Review Week 2023

At IOP Publishing we believe that peer review is the backbone of robust and trustworthy research. Delivering a reliable and constructive peer review process sits at the heart of our service and we always look for ways to improve the process.

We were recently awarded the 2023 Association of Learned and Professional Society Publisher’s (ALPSP) Impact Award for the introduction of double-anonymous and transparent peer review. The recent extension of our co-review policy to our entire owned journal portfolio is helping to deliver a more collaborative and supportive experience for all reviewers. In addition, we’re partnering with Morressier to develop a state-of-the-art submission and peer review system.

To mark Peer Review 2023, we’re hosting two free webinars which look at how these initiatives are improving the experience for authors and reviewers.
