Committed to a sustainable future

We are committed to managing our business sustainably. Understanding and managing the environmental and social impacts of our activities is a priority as we work to minimise the impact of our operations on the environment and managing our resources effectively at a local, national and global level. Further details of our commitments can be found in our Environmental Policy

In order for us to achieve our goals, it is crucial that those suppliers we choose to work with share our vision and commitment in this area. We understand that everyone is at a different point in their sustainability journey. However, we expect our suppliers to commit to general principles around sustainability and this Code sets out those principles we require all suppliers to sign up to.

We expect suppliers to:

  1. Have due regard to the impact on the environment of their operations, products and supply chains;
  1. Act all times in compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations in the industries and countries they operate in, both in respect of their own operations and the goods and services they produce or procure;
  1. Take continuous, practical steps to:
  1. improve their environmental performance;
  2. develop their environmental responsibilities;
  3. reduce pollution and emissions; and
  4. reduce, re-use and recycle waste of all types where possible;
  1. Have in place appropriate measures to reduce the use of raw materials, non-renewable materials, hazardous substances, energy, water and supplies;
  1. Set their own objectives and targets which are designed to continually improve its environmental performance;
  1. Engage with our sustainability initiatives to the extent applicable to that supplier; and
  1. Advocate for sustainability and aim to raise awareness of its importance in their operations and supply chains.
