IOP Publishing (IOP) has today announced the appointment of Mr Carsten Erdmann as Corporate Sales Manager, EMEA, for IOP.
Reporting to Mark Sauter, Vice President, Global Corporate Sales, at IOP, Mr Erdmann will take responsibility for corporate customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will maintain relationships with customers and develop journals sales in these privately funded, for-profit organizations.
Mr Erdmann’s recent role was as Sales Manager for Springer where he was responsible for customers located in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before joining Springer he worked at Reuters as Global Key Account Manager. Mr Erdmann speaks fluent English and German and will work from Frankfurt, Germany.
Commenting on Mr Erdmann’s appointment, Mr Sauter said “We are delighted to have Carsten on board. His vast experience within the sales environment and STM industry will stand him in good stead for his new role here at IOP.”
