Closure of Computational Science & Discovery

04 Nov 2014 by iopp

IOP Publishing is sorry to announce the closure of the journal Computational Science & Discovery.

After a comprehensive internal review of the ongoing viability of the journal, IOP’s editorial management team have taken the difficult decision to close the journal at the end of the 2014 volume year.

This means that the journal will no longer accept submissions (effective immediately).

The team at IOP Publishing would like to take this opportunity to thank our current Editor-in-Chief, Dr Nathan Baker, the Editorial Board, and our authors and referees for their support of the journal. We would also like to thank Dr Anthony Mezzacappa, who served as the journal’s first Editor-in-Chief. We are working on new and innovative ways to serve the publishing needs of the multidisciplinary computational science community.

Articles published with Computational Science & Discovery will continue to be available to read and cite on iopscience.org. Articles have always been free to read and will remain so in perpetuity.

Articles have also been preserved with Clockss and Portico, both widely used, trusted third-party resources that help protect the integrity of the scientific record.
