Marc Gillett has been appointed as Associate Director Publishing Operations for IOP Publishing (IOP). Playing a pivotal role in the senior publishing management team, Marc will be responsible for peer-review operations and publishing systems across IOP’s 70+ journals.
Marc has extensive experience in scientific, technical and medical (STM) publishing. His most recent role was that of Head of Production Management, Journals, at Taylor and Francis, where he managed five production teams working on 650 academic journals.
Commenting on Marc’s appointment, Jamie Hutchins, Head of Publishing at IOP, said: “We are delighted to welcome Marc to IOP and believe his knowledge and experience in peer review and publishing systems, combined with his proven people-management skills, will be invaluable to the business. Marc will play a key role in ensuring the services we offer to our publishing authors, referees and publishing partners continue to be of a high standard.”
Marc will be based at IOP’s UK headquarters in Bristol.
